Time seemed to fly. I had three hours until they would leave for Georgia. I made Chicken Parmesan for dinner. Got the laundry washed and folded so he could pack. It was all done so quickly. We talked about the difference in time zones. “Don’t call me on Alabama time” he said as they were getting ready to go. I gave him a big hug and a kiss on the cheek. He hugged his little Sister. We were both teary eyed. My Husband gave him a hug. “Love you” he said. “Love you too” said our Son. He got his bag and his Pass Port. He was going to stay at her place and leave in the wee hours of the morning to catch his flight. I barely slept all night. Tossing and turning. He texted me during his layover in Denver. It was his first time flying so I was worried about him. She posted some pics of them on Facebook. It was so very sweet of her to take him to the airport. We would have done it without question but he made his plans. After all he is a man now. Almost Twenty Three years old. He sent me another text when he arrived in Los Angeles. His friend was stuck in traffic but coming soon.  “Y’all be careful”I typed. I sent him a smiley face emoji. He sent one back. I am sure he will be fine. My husband called me to see if I had heard from our Son. I tell him what I know. “How are You?”he said lovingly. “My heart hurts” I said
